Rapid artificial intelligence adoption is pushing India's data centre infrastructure to its limits. As high-intensity AI workloads scale up, power grids face unprecedented pressure to sustain these massive energy demands, making it essential for infrastructure and standards to keep pace for long-term progress.
To balance explosive technological growth with sustainable infrastructure, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) is deploying a mix of nuclear regulations and green energy standards. The SHANTI law will support the deployment of small and micro nuclear reactors to help meet these heavy power requirements. Additionally, authorities are utilizing GTAM green energy schemes alongside new Bureau of Indian Standards guidelines to ensure reliability and security as national policy intersects with technological advancement.
